Managed by Lucy Waller RGN, B.Sc (Hons) Nursing, Eyam Domiciliary Service is made up of a strong nurse led team of friendly, kind and honest staff, all of whom undergo routine and specific training to ensure that they are fully equipped to meet your tailored care needs.
Our staff team is made up of a very committed professional staff who all come to EDS from various general, academic and medical backgrounds but all with one thing in common – their passion to care.
It is important to us that the hand that provides your care is a hand that is interested, friendly and that you are able to get along with.
Our staff are not only well trained, but also well supported by the senior members of the team, a team made up of Registered General Nurses and Senior Carers.
Every member of staff is handpicked and has a DBS check as routine.
Every member of staff undergoes our own in-house Nurse Led training program which includes training of the following:

- First Aid
- Fire Safety
- Nutritional Support
- Skin Integrity
- Pressure Area Care
- Patient Centred Care
- End Of Life Care
- Infection Control
- Food Hygiene
- Management Training
- Risk Assessing Competency
Each member of staff is encouraged to undertake new challenges within the care sector and are offered the opportunity to be enrolled in NVQ qualifications and supported to go on to higher education such as nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychiatry.
